I have just managed to do a reverse “Combine My Avios” by logging into Avios.com on my Android mobile and “Move Avios” from BA to Aer Lingus.
Absolutely seamless / quick but heavy on a balloon 2FA check at both ends.
Also, if you were never previously linked to other non-BA partners, you can now link them up easily using further 2FA balloons.
Didn’t work for me!
“We could not link your accounts.
Please make sure your name, last name, date of birth and email address match across your accounts.”
Weirdly enough I managed to move avios in the past between BA and IB using the old platform. I also moved this week via the IB C. Centre.
Also I could only login to IB via Google chrome. Kept receiving an error message “Something went wrong” via Safari.

PS I now see that the BA Combine My Avios page is back up and running for Iberia Club, AerClub, Logan Air and Vueling ( clicking BA link sends you to https://www.avios.com/move/transfer-avios ) as per original quote practically.

I’m seeing the same on Avios.com, tested and all working again with additional layers of 2FA and the requirement to now link accounts as described in Rob’s recent article.
Hopefully this stabilises the functionality going forward.
