Munich dining credit

Hi all,

I’ll be in Munich for Oktoberfest and have my abroad £100 to spend. Any good lunchtime amex dining credit vouchers anyone can vouch for?

Alex is usually a decent option in germany but I think the munich locations arent in the center of town so it depends where youre staying, the one in pasing is easy to get to if youre near the sbahn. Blockhouse isnt too bad.

The hofbrauhaus used to be on the list where you could use the credit for beer and souvenirs, that was always rammed during okt but I think thats removed from the list now. Havent been there, but the augustiner keller looks like it might be a similar type of thing.

Ive had to cancel the trip to okt this year ;/ on the plus side its cos I’ll be in singapore instead 😀

Thanks – I’ll check them out. We are staying near to Sendlinger Tor / so pretty central. Quite a few of the restaurants seem to be closed for Monday lunch – so that’s narrowing our choices down somewhat.

We had a very good lunch on a Monday in July at Landersdorfer & Innerhofer not too far from the Marienplatz. Wife’s Plat credit notification appeared almost immediately.

We just have been in Munich and went to the Augustiner Keller and the Haxengrill on the dining credit. Both are typical and authentic for Munich. I would not consider Alex or Blockhouse in Munich, both are average chains.
