Hi All
I know this has been covered about the previous reward of 1100 (or something similar) ending in November last year, but just curious about peoples thoughts on the new offer.
Currently stands at £10 in rewards balance for 900 Avios
Obviously this is less than the previous, and I would normally trade my MyRewards balance to John Lewis gift vouchers (which would get me 4% back in rewards – so £100 in JL vouchers would only cost £92). But this has now gone down to 2% (meaning £100 for £96).
Given that they’ve both gone down in value, do we think the Avios offer is worth it?
Many thanks
You’re effectively paying 1.1p to purchase these avios, given that you can “boost” your normal avios spend at 0.92p, seems like a pretty poor deal, unless you’re a bit short on avios and really short on time.
Might be time to zoom out and consider a different card altogether

Am a bit new to all this (now get staff travel through my partner so actually learning more about the finer details of points) so hadn’t actually read up on the avios ‘boost’ – that’s definitely better value

And definitely… Have recently got the Barclaycard plus and working to the signon bonus for that (already have an amex MR bonus I’m working towards). And will then most likely be opening the Amex BAPP to do the same + companion voucher…
Thanks both!

Just a followup on the balance boost – am I right in thinking that any spend on boosting would indeed count towards signup &/ annual spend thresholds for both the BC and Amex cards?
Many thanks
It looks like NatWest has quietly removed the option again to convert MyRewards to Avios.
