I got an email today about an autoconvert competition where you can win up to 100k avios for autoconverting your nectar points.

What’s happened to the current competition…..has that ended yet? Where can you see the list of winners? I’ve been religiously converting 400 points every week but have heard nothing

I’m not too sure about the current competition.
But I got the same email today, email said 1,200 avios when you auto-convert. Read the T&Cs, it said just 200. Very strange..

Same here but only for one member of our household account, maybe it is 1200 targeted and the t&cs not updated, who knows

Not had either of those emails.

I got the email but am not interested in auto converting.

I had the email but registered without clicking any link
Will I be entered in the draw?

I was more interested in when the July draw takes place – and how to remove my existing autoconvert, is that easy enough to do?

These are the key terms from the previous auto-conversion competition (I have the full terms if anyone needs them):

To enter the Avios prize draw the Eligible participant must sign up to the automatic conversion service or have an existing automatic conversion service subscription and must automatically exchange a minimum of 400 Nectar points to 250 Avios for four months from February 2022 through to May 2022.

    There are 350 prizes from a 3,125,000 Avios prize pot to be won. 20 x 50,000 Avios, 30 x 25,000 Avios, 50 x 10,000 Avios, 100 x 5,000 Avios, 150 x 2,500 Avios

I definitely met the conditions, but haven’t heard anything yet. If anyone does – please do update!

Thanks Nath4n for posting this – I had in my mind it was yesterday and guessed I’d not won……definitely met the criteria so let’s wait and see.

Time to turn off auto convert, methinks. It just takes too long to convert avios back to nectar points (for purchases on ebay, if you myst know!)

    1,489 posts

I think I should have qualified for whatever bonus was on for autoconverting but I don’t see any relevant entries in my avios or nectar statements. But I can’t be bothered to chase it up.

    Anyone win anything?
This was a relatively niche criteria (400 nectar conversion each month for 4 months, for new auto-conversion sign-ups only), with 350 Avios prizes, so I’d expect HfP winners to be an absolute shoe-in, but it seems to be tumbleweed… Bizarre.

I thought the same….but nothing. Suspicious somewhat.

I met the criteria too and haven’t heard anything either. Not convinced the draw has taken place if no-one on here hasn’t won anything.

I was able to auto-convert 400 every week, and no results of the draw here – I smell a rat!

I was just wondering about this competition and thought I’d search online to see if I could find signs of any winners. Apparently not! I honestly didn’t expect that many people to qualify, so I thought the odds would be pretty good.

Nathan – do the full terms mention any email addresses for contacting them? Winners lists have to be provided for promotions like this one and I think I’d like to request one. If they fail to provide one, then I’ll probably submit a complaint to the Advertising Standards Agency.

Yes, I absolutely smell a rat here too – I just haven’t had the time to formally chase. No email address for contact, they just list the physical addresses for the ‘promotor’ in clause 25. Please do keep me updated, and I’ll also try and submit a formal request for further information on this draw. Here are the full terms as they were originally published online:

ok, I’m new to the forum as today I have received an email saying that I have won 25,000 points.
Its from promotions@avios.com and before I get too excited as I never win anything I wanted to check if its legit!

my name is correct on the email and it asks me for nothing. Is there anywhere that lists the prize winners?
I never win anything, but then I never enter anything and I only entered this as I collect avios from my nectar anyway. 25,000 points is a lot for me!

My only concern is that it was a forwarded email which may make it fake or may mean they had to manually send it out.

    I’ve copied the email below.

    From promotions@avios.com

Dear XXXXX XXXXXXXXX (My name was correct)

When you converted your Nectar points to Avios through the British Airways Executive Club each month from February through to May 2022, you were entered into a mega Avios prize draw for the chance to win one of 350 prizes from a total prize pot of 3,125,000 Avios.

We’re pleased to inform you have been randomly selected as one of our Avios prize winners. You have won 25,000 Avios

Your Avios will be credited to your British Airways Executive Club account within 28 days of receiving this email.

    Warm regards,

    Your Executive Club Team

Well that’s good news that others are winning and getting the same email!

For those who only got 5,000 or 2,500 I feel bad posting I won 25,000. If it makes anyone feel any better I would have been happy with any prize!

It says will be credited within 28 days. Let’s see if that happens and keep us updated.
