Need to get £20 spend today to trigger 2for1 voucher

I didn’t realise that the spend needed to go through clearing/ be posted to my amex account to trigger the 241 voucher. I waited till yesterday to do it as my card anniversary is tomorrow.

I just called AMEX who said that there was nothing I could do more to trigger it, a cash withdrawal wouldn’t work (not even sure if you can do that on an amex) and all I could do was hope the spend yesterday is posted today, or try another merchant who might post it straight away.

Anyone got any suggestions of anything I can do. (Not looking for comments re not realising about this… just what I can do about it)

Buying in a supermarket/shop/cafe generally hits fast, try it then check amex online for the transaction.

I’d avoid online ordering for anything to be physically delivered as payment may not be taken until shipping.
