My wife entered the draw for 60,000 Avios points for NHS staff in December and received an email in January saying she’d been successful. She submitted the claim form and is now waiting for the points to hit her account. This is supposed to be done by 18/2 but I was just wondering if anyone else has received theirs yet? At the time of claiming last month there was no email confirmation, but I recall her claim form said it wouldn’t be acknowledged.
Thanks Rob and the team. My sister and her husband are both frontline NHS workers (no, not IT staff!!) and following your info on here, my sister got an email on Friday saying that she had won 60,000 Avios in the NHS Avios draw.
Hopefully they will book a relaxing holiday as opposed to buying food at Sainsbury’s through Nectar!

Good to hear – but are they used to using avios? It’s quite difficult to get decent value out of them unless you’ve spent a fair amount of time researching the best use for them.
I’ll chat to her about it, she emailed me this morning.

I got one of those emails yesterday as well – was a nice surprise, although slightly odd that it sends you to an insecure form to fill in to claim the prize. I second the thanks to HFP for pointing out the opportunity.
I’m happy to hear about these prizes going to clinical staff.
I got the email yesterday too and it really made my day. I wouldn’t have known to enter without seeing it on HFP so a huge thank you from me.
Glad it worked out. We’ve had quite a lot of winners, perhaps not surprisingly given that it wasn’t promoted that well (not sure if there was any internal NHS promotion or not).

Haven’t received mine either yet. I re-read the e-mail and while things that say “by the 18th” feel like they’re done well before, they’re not late yet. Like you said they did make it clear there’d be no acknowledgement. Maybe they’ll be a fun Friday surprise!
