It’s been a long time since I’ve visited Nice, and would welcome any tips for a celebration weekend trip.
Thinking about staying at the Hotel Negresco, does anyone have any experience or tips about this hotel too? (I saw Rob’s review of the Hyatt).Can’t give any advice, but the Negresco is a slightly bonkers / ‘eclectic’ hotel from what I’ve seen of the lobby. It is on my list of ‘places I should probably try once in my life just for the hell of it’. Whether you want that is a different matter!
Not sure I’d risk if it was my first trip away with a new partner, if you know what I mean …. it could be one of those places where the basics (smart rooms etc) have been neglected to focus on ‘wackyness’.
We stayed for a night booked through Emyr in May 22. I loved it – I love the design it’s so different to most other hotels. The decor is wonderfully colourful. The position is great – if you do decide to stay make sure you get a room overlooking the Promenade des Anglais.
The closest I can think of is Firmdale hotels here in London.
I’d two great stays in the Boscolo Exedra back when it was a Bonvoy hotel. It’s still highly regarded
