Discuss today's stories:
Going on the fact that I know you can apply a 241 to a previously made booking (when inbound availability hasn’t been released, etc), would I be able to apply a voucher if availably has been released, but there are no seats?
In terms of specifics of my query;
I don’t have a 241, yet. I will be applying for a BAPP on 1st Jan and should be able to hit my voucher by mid-Feb.
Seats I’m after are LHR-DXB-LHR in early Nov 21. This means that the guaranteed availability has already been and gone. There are now two seats available for my outbound flight and I have the miles to book them at full price.
Can I, at a later date, call in to add the inbound (if they become available!), and apply the voucher at the same time across the inbound and the outbound?
Short answer is no. But you could book the trip as two one ways and use the 2-4-1 when you have it to book the return.
To book and add the return you have to use the 2-4-1 to book the outbound at t-355. You cannot apply the 2-4-1 retrospectively in any other circumstances
