Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Old style 241 Amex Voucher

I have a voucher expiring in September at 180k Avios. Any ideas as to how best to use it given that it’s late in the day and there’s very limited availability. I’m not particularly interested in NY, so I’d welcome suggestions anywhere else in the world!

Boston? Had a fantastic 5 night break there (also on an expiring old style 241) last June. Lots of varied things to do. Thoroughly enjoyed kayaking the Head of the Charles Regatta route, visiting the Sam Adams brewery in Jamaica Plain for a tour and tasting, a morning ferry trip out for a walk and swim on nearby Spectacle Island in Boston Harbour, visiting the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I imagine September would be similar to June in terms of pleasant but not overly excessive heat and outside school holidays. Alternatively Canada? I’m looking to book Montréal with a couple of days in Québec City as I also have my final old style 241 expiring end of September. I received lots of great recommendations on a thread in the Destination Advice forum yesterday/Wednesday.

+1 for BOS especially as you can often get F award seats. Hotels are pricey though.
Also there’s a day flight back which I found loads better than the 5 1/2 hour overnight on our first visit!

Another Boston fan here.If you have just a few IHG points you can reduce hotel prices considerably.

Boston is also a great jumping off point for touring New England.

Or how about a two centre. Out to Philly, back from Boston.

+1 for the day flight home. Spend the last night at the Hilton at Boston Airport. Usually cheaper booking with points.

ETA – you say you are not interested in NY. I presume you mean NYC? Have you been upstate? Hudson Valley? Catskills? Finger Lakes? Adirondack?

How long are you going for? Are you looking for only cities? Would you consider renting a car?
