Hey all,
As Oman Air joins One World tomorrow I want to look at redemption availability for Manchester to Bangkok.
The thing is, no flights are showing for May 26 via Muscat only on a 2 stop option which is just too much even in Business with kids.Anyone have any thoughts on why this is ?
Also I have no idea how may Avios that will be. Qatar airways is 150k return on that route but its very difficult to find availability anywhere near school holidays although we did drop on this year. I’m guessing a BA 2for1 is out of the question to use.
Any tips or info appreciated.

1. Their OW membership only starts tomorrow so that’s when I would expext their reward avalability to appear from and even then it may not be instant depending on Omans release schedule.
2. Not every airline releases rewaard availability at T-355 like BA. Many only release it 330 (ish) days ahead.
3. Correct BA 2-4-1 isn’t eligible.
My guess is Omani residents have already booked MCT-BKK redemptions for May 26.

Thanx for you input, I’m eager to know the figures as such. Qatar was a great redemption but their taxes were pretty high on the outbound.
