Want to book this and looking and waiting for right availability, seems to work distance rules wise between SIN – JHB according to great circle map. Just worried when I eventually get lucky and call it in, BA will tell me their crow flies differently and it fails the distance test.
You will only really find out by calling BA to book.
In terms of the surface sector distance it looks fine, but in recent weeks BA has got stricter about not allowing open jaws that straddle pricing zones as this does (and it also straddles IATA regions) albeit such rejection has related to origin open jaws and bookings involving Iberia. There is more to the open jaw rules than just the unflown sector(s) being shorter than either flight but BA has been very generous in their application.

lol 😂

I don’t want to be that guy, but assuming you mean Johannesburg, don’t ask for a ticket to/from
JHB 😉

BA, like other airlines, uses the great circle method for calculating distances. No crows were exhausted is calculating this.
There is a website that tells you the distances between any two airports that anyone can use.
