I’m off to Cyprus using my Amex 2-4-1 as it’s about to expire.
However I’ve now been asked to come back via Madrid. I was going to rebook the return leg but a quick check suggests LHR-LCA is 2040 miles but LCA-MAD is 2050 so I don’t think I can do that.
If I was to start in Edinburgh, would that help, or is it the longest sector that counts?
It’s fine – the ‘open’ leg can’t be more than the two flown sectors
LHR – LCA
LCA – MAD
is fine
LHR – LCA
MAD – LHR
not fine
I don’t think LCA-MAD is a 241 option.
Even if I was able to book LCA-LHR-MAD as the return leg of the 241, there’s no award availability at the moment,
And looking at another thread posted yesterday, starting in – say – EDI doesn’t help either.
Grrr….
I don’t think LCA-MAD is a 241 option.
I had assumed Iberia fly the route, in fact, no airline flies direct according to flight connections — so you are right. Voucher needs to be used to (or maybe via) London.
