Overpaying Council Tax?

I think this question came up some years ago but I can’t remember the outcome..
If one was to over pay Council Tax would the over payment be refunded to a different source? ie, not the card used to pay it on?

You can only say it depends upon the council, some will and some will only refund to the original source. I’m lucky in that mine, LBW do refund back to my bank account, but not all will
