Seems to think my payment card is a non-UK debit so won’t allow it…

Barclaycard have not allowed paying your Barclaycard via Curve for well over a year now (maybe 2?).
It’s not gonna happen.
Pay via Direct Debit, Debit Card or a Bank Transfer (Debit Card seems the fastest!).
Direct debit is the easiest… If not trying to do stuff for points why bother with manual payments
