Perth to Christchurch with Avios with Qantaslink

Hi. I was just on the phone to BA exectutive to ask them to book avios flights via quantas link as per the guide on the website. The call handler said there was no availability on the BA site, which I knew. I explained it was via quantas link and it was showing on the american airways site as being avaialble with points, as per the website advice. He then went on to say BA do not use qantas link and I was given the wrong advice and I cannot use avios to book qantas link flights and they are not able to do this and told me he could not help?? Any advice? Have I read the article wrong??

I have now just searched ba website via individual legs and it is showing flights to book. clearly the ba website is not linking up the flights and not sure why the call handler did not do this if he could not use quantas link…

I’m sure there is an article on here about that and BA can’t book Qantas link only main line Qantas – search for QANTAS
