New to the Platinum card – will get my 30000 avios within the 3 months and so want to cancel card to get pro rata refund before October deadline. My question is if I use the £150 dining credit, await for the statement credit and then cancel my card, will AMEX reverse the credit (and I end up paying for thaty lovely meal)?
No, once the credit has hit your account there is no reversing when you cancel.
