Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Points bookings not counting as night/stays

please someone sanity check this for me.

I’ve recently had a road trip to the US consisting of 20 nights in several hotels. Every night was fully paid for with points.
17 nights have been added to my total, 3 haven’t.

I’ve queried this on the phone with an agent who told me the missing ones don’t count as they were paid for with points. Feeling frustrated I insisted I was passed to someone else, all this person did was provide an email address for guest assistance. I sent an email and they have replied back saying they don’t count as they were paid for with points!

As my other 17 nights have counted, then either TWO agents are talking rubbish, or these 17 nights have posted in error. I don’t want to push it just now incase the latter is correct.

Unless something has recently changed I suspect the agents are incorrect, as I’ve had two other trips earlier this year, all paid for with points and all posted correctly.

HH FAQ is quite clear that rewards nights qualify for status but not for points earning.

Which types of nights are eligible for roll over? What about nights achieved through a promotion?
All qualifying nights are eligible to roll over. Qualifying nights for paid and reward stays (including Points & Money Rewards™ stays) count as full qualifying nights for achieving status and are eligible to be rolled over to the following calendar year.

The agents are wrong. They definitely count as nights.
My only worry would be if some hotels get an exception from the Hilton rules.

I’d call again or write to the Diamond address, if you are one, referring to the faqs, including a link..

Thanks. Dealing with anyone nowadays is like pulling teeth. So frustrating.
