Forums Payment cards American Express Priority Pass guest charge

Hello, hope this is the right place. We have priority pass with our gold Amex. We’ve never used it but wanted to use it on Thursday, me plus 3 guests. Will the guests be charged? If so does anyone know the fee?

I recall Gold comes with 4 free passes but you’d need to check what was the case when you signed up.

If you’ve not used any of them and are 4 people, it sounds like you’ll get in with no charges.

Once you’ve used the free passes, additional are £20, if https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/06/19/how-does-priority-pass-airport-lounge-card-work/ is to be believed.

Word of warning, however. Getting into UK lounges without a booking is increasingly unlikely these days. I would highly recommend booking a slot on the PP app and paying the booking fee if you don’t want to be disappointed.

I think it’s now £24 per entry after you’ve used up your 4 passes.

I’ll be interested to hear others’ experiences with using the 4x ‘free’ Gold card lounge passes. I called Amex a few weeks ago to ask if all 4 passes can be used in 1 lounge visit. I was told you get 2 visits of ‘cardholder plus 1 guest’. Any additional guests are chargeable on each visit.
    I haven’t yet tried this, so I can’t confirm what does/doesn’t work.

I actually just started a separate thread, as only seen this one!

I’m in the same boat – flying out in few weeks, 3 adults and a 6yr old, so the 4 free passes would come in handy for this.

But I also could end up paying £48 + the prebooking fee of £24. That’s £72 for having these 4 so-called free passes!

Although one person did post back to say he was able to use for himself and 3 friends on one visit
