I’m trying to book flights to return to the UK from NZ/OZ in March 2026 and see that flights to the UK from Doha for 17th March 2026 onwards are not only showing as peak but the only availability with Avios seems to be double rate flexi! Flights for the leg to Doha are available and off peak. It doesn’t seem to show availability at all for the corresponding through flight dates.
Any suggestions how to solve this? Any positive experiences of calling Qatar?Thanks.
QR started doing this a couple of years ago, only releasing flexi pricing on popular routes at peak times (late March will be the school Easter holidays next year). I don’t know why you can’t book this on one ticket though, if you still want to book award seats. Have you tried on both QR and BA websites? Could it be an issue with connection times or something?
Thanks for the reply. It seems a bit random to start peak pricing on a Tuesday and it’s a full 10 days before BA make it peak time but I can’t think of any other reason than Easter. The flight times and connections seem to be the same as off peak, I can only assume their computer doesn’t like the peak/ off peak disparity.
Sadly BA doesn’t recognise either my departure point or destination as being possible despite valid for QR.Thanks for the reply. Just to add that in economy everything seems normal pricing for off peak.
