Has anyone here travelled UK to Australia using the ‘workaround’ Virgin Australia codeshare flights from Doha? I’ve got QR redemption flights in biz class on 1) LHR-DOH and 2) DOH-PER booked with a 90 minute transit time at DOH between both flights. As it is not possible to book both on the same PNR I have 2 tickets, both booked through Qatar Airways.
I plan to travel HBO but, asis customary to Australia, the 2nd flight cannot be checked in online and I need to present myself at the airport check in desk to prove my visa and ID. Qatar Airways are unable to confirm if I can check in for both flights at LHR so I was wondering if anyone here has experience of this? The transit time is a bit tight for checking in at DOH as well. Thanks for any insights!
