A silly mistake and put my hand up as I don’t know how this happened I only realised when the eticket came through! First time happened to me as well.
I misspelled little one’s name by adding another letter at the end. For example, Perking instead of Perkin (he will be 2.5 years old so will have his own seat).Used QR chat agent and was told impossible to change/correct as it is award redemption flight. Need to cancel and rebook. I wonder if:
1. Anyone has experienced this before and managed to board without issue?
2. If cancel, there are 2 pax in this booking, do I have to cancel the entire booking hence 50USD total or can just cancel the incorrect one?
3. How likely QR avios seat goes back to the inventory straight-after?I have searched across FT forum etc., while most people said it will be fine as normally the tolerance by the check-in agent is up to 3 letters. I am bit nervous on this one.
