Ok, so I booked a BKK-DOH-ARN flight directly with Qatar, flew late November.
About a month before I travelled the second leg (to ARN) was changed from
I feel there is some info missing here but for starters you need to make a missing avios / TP claim
I have the same problem. Booked Qatar ARN-DOH-AKL and was switched to the AY carrier for ARN-DOH. I have been awarded Avios and tier points only for DOH-AKL. I used my BA Exec account to collect these points. Can anyone pleas advise who I should contact for missing miles? Qatar (original booking) or BA?
Exec club at BA there is an online form.
Whoops, didn’t mean to post this! Broke off halfway through writing it to call BA.
Cut a long story short, previously the Partner claim form on BA.com resulted in both claims with QR and AY being rejected.
Qatar were not helpful on the phone, offered to award the Avios to Privilege Club and said I could transfer (the flight was a tier point run to allow me to nab Gold status, so wasn’t down for that).
The BA agent was great, pointed me to the document submission form (not the Partner claim form on their site). I uploaded the documents, less than 48h later the Avios were in my account. Well done BA – for a moment I was worried I’d be stuck in purgatory between the Oneworld carriers and the £££ I spunked on J flights would not get me the all important status!
