Quick way to get at least 1 avios in my Iberia Plus acc?

I want to book an avios flight from South America to madrid in the next few days.
There is availability on the ibeira site, but not in BA. I called and BA said Iberia opens more seats to their customers and less to BA (which makes sense)

I have a very old Iberia plus account, but I never credited anything to it, thus it has 0 avios. And you can buy or transfer avios into iberia only if you have at least 1 avios in it.

Is there any quick way that will get me at least 1 avios in my iberia account in the next few days?

Activated mine by linking it to my Red by Dufry account and making a purchase in Duty Free. Points credited in 24 hours. But obviously only works if you’re passing through an airport… If you’re desperate I don’t know if you can do a Click and Collect and just don’t collect for an eventual refund and whether the Avios going in and then being clawed back would work?? Amex MR points easiest if you have them though

That doesn’t work with new Iberia Plus accounts that have 9 digit account numbers. Lots of workarounds are proposed, none work. Even Amex staff can’t get it to work and it’s been broken for getting on 2 years.

Combine my Avios from the BA site doesn’t work.

I have an IB flight this summer which I could in principle credit to my IB+ account but I’d rather credit the 380 tier points to BA.

I have had the same issue as on the BA website it just shows errors when I try to select my avios flights.

My Iberia plus membership is from 2022, but 9 digits so I can’t transfer any MR from Amex to do that initial 1pt (albeit Amex requires you transfer 1000). Is there any solution here?

Just complete a survey on aviosforthoughts and link to your Iberia account, it’s what I did
