Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Redeeming Avios on American for USA domestic…

I’m clearly missing something…. American says there is plenty of availability, Seat Spy says there is plenty of availability, however when I try to find on BA, it denies all knowledge… What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

Booking using Avios via BA you need particular AA reward fares, not all AAdvantage reward flights are bookable via BA.

What route are you trying to book?

Also it’s possible the flights are operated by JetBlue in which case you can’t book via BA – see today’s chat and my reply to Michael C.

If the flight is operated by JetBlue B6 You might try booking via Qatar Airways as they are partners

What you might be missing is that avsilability is really poor of late. Booked ours for forthcoming trip many months ago but even then it was difficult. I locked in some that were not ideal but fortunately got what I wanted in the end by checking daily. This is doable as the loss is only £4pp if cancelling flights. My concern now is that many flights are being cancelled iverbtgere too and we have some around 4th July that’ll probably be very difficult to rebook.
