Retention offers?

Hi

Has anyone ever had a retention offer for the paid Virgin CC. I have had it for nearly a decade so I can’t be accused of churning.

I would like a second companion voucher. I am comfortably over the spend limit for a second one.

Alternatively, has anyone closed and reopened to bring forward the warning date?

Never heard of retention offers on VS+ CC, but no harm in asking (pls report back).

Alternatively, someone managed to keep both the free and paid cards when intending to downgrade which will give you a second voucher.

Vaguely remember a 6 month window before reapplying for the same, but maybe confusing it with Barclaycard.
