Retreiving MR points after mistaken Platinum cancellation

Hello all.

Some crossed wires at home has led to my partner cancelling her Platinum without withdrawing 80k or so MR points. I’m sure I know the answer, but is there any hope that we might be able to get them transferred to BA? It was cancelled about 19 hours ago if that has any bearing.

She’s calling them now but if anyone has any advice it’d be very welcome.

You usually have a month to spend them. Get them out to Avios asap!

You are quite right, it turns out that you have 30 days to protect from stupidity – 117k points out to Avios, 212 to Nectar.
