Afternoon folks,
A week and a bit ago I booked the flight from LHR to UVF, tomorrow I was going to ring up and book the flight back which would be on the 4th of April 2025.. problem is.. they’ve only got flight listed until the 28th of March 25 at the moment, which is under the 331 days threshold they use… is this unusual?
Sometimes a future schedule is not release just yet. It does happen indeed around these dates. Are flights (cash) bookable for those dates?
Also (I do not know if it is the case here) this could mean this is a seasonal route.
The current early 24 schedule is 4th December 2023 – 19th May 2024
The current early 25 schedule is 1st December 2024 – 28th March 2025 which is alot shorter… but there’s still time for it to change I guess, just surprised it’s not bookable past end of March at the mo
I’m waiting for that date, different route though. I don’t know if it’s because they move to the summer schedule that week.
April 4th and later ARE bookable via Virgin Holidays, so I have some faith that flight-only dates will correspond to those!

Just tried looking on virgin holidays… didn’t show any flights – darn!
That’s odd, you can definitely book a trip to Bahamas if you want to spend £9k!
Not to St Lucia it seems! Rolled backwards on the virgin holidays calendar and there’s nothing after march 28th

I’d not trust their IT. I posted about this for my MLE-LHR return – Neither the VS reward finder tool or Seatspy showed availability around the days I wanted but when I called at 5am t-331 I was able to bag the UC return legs needed. @Scriv09 Hopefully you just rang up and have got it sorted already!
Yes – nothing showing on SeatSpy or the VS award calendar, but when I went into the app and searched, the seats were there.
So we are just on to Virgin now to upgrade our PE seats to UC with the cc voucher. Very exciting 😂. Even though slightly gutted that it’s just into peak season so costing 20k points more.

Those NAS seats for 4th of April are they to or from LHR, if from LHR I can find direct VS flights on the website searching now, if from NAS I can find 1 stop delta flights.. where as if I search for my destination it still doesn’t go past 28th March 🙁
NAS-LHR. We are flying into GCM on BA and doing a 2-centre trip.
Searching in the app shows seats still available, though I also tried UVF and nothing on that date 🙁

I have a feeling they just haven’t agreed/posted any dates yet for that as 28th March 2025 is the last date in/out at the mo which is 323 days not 331 🙁
🤞 they appear soon. Keep checking in the app/FC site as clearly their own award calendar plus SeatSpy aren’t up to date.
I do recall that VS had to do some negotiating with the St Lucia government to start that route a few years ago (basically VS wanted wads of cash IIRC!) so maybe they have to re-negotiate periodically?
Sounds about right, that plus seasonal calendar makes me think it just isn’t quite ready yet… will keep checking daily
Correction – it looks like VS actually dropped the flights in 2019 (negotiations didn’t go well!) then re-started in Dec 2023.

Well here I am hoping that it appears at some point… I’ve always got avios if needed haha
Avios were my back up plan as well! But desperate to use some VS points and not waste another voucher!
It’s my first voucher so my hope is it can be redeemed shortly!

I did some digging on a few other Caribbean routes, and none were bookable for cash. I know that Grenada is definitely one that has run all summer in the past as we went last year – not available for cash either.
Last time I looked they hadnt published peak/off-peak dates for Caribbean yet either beyond March 2025
So I am presuming the Caribbean routes are yet to be loaded.

Reached out to VA on twitter and they’ve come back and said St Lucia is only running up until 28th March, unbelievable
