Apologies if there is already thread on this, I had a quick look and if there is I’ve missed it.
I’ve booked a Club Europe flight earlier and have just went to look at the seating options on the domestic leg and there are no seats available.
I think it’s the first time I’ve seen this in all the bookings I’ve ever made. I’m assuming the cabin will be extended and I’ll be able to pick seats at a later date. At the moment it’s only five rows in an A319 so it’s not one of the mega cabins.
Is this normal or am I likely to get a cancellation email?
I did a dummy booking yesterday to look at the seating layout and although it was allowing me to book a seat in First, there were apparently no seats available to select in seat selection. Possibly related to everything that’s going on?
Could be that row 1 is still free but not available to you due to your status?
When is the flight and what is the route?
BA1452 back to Edinburgh on the 25th. Looking online today there are only economy seats available now so I think @Mouse may be right.
On our LHR-MAN leg last night my son was allocated an exit row seat in Y with no option to change it even if he wanted to. When we boarded the BA staff member then moaned about him only being 16 and sitting without us in said exit row! I told her he was a seasoned traveller and would cope fine in the event of an emergency on the 40-minute flight. At no point did they offer to move him up to CE with us though, even though there were spare seats.
Interestingly I have just looked at our BA flights to TFS in CE in May and seats available on outbound flight but no CE seats available for the inbound flight.
They better not be thinking of using the middle seats!
