Morning, I have two options to book a flight at the same price, either:
a) UK to Spain return, booked with BA (IB metal), or
b) UK to Spain return, booked with IB (IB metal).
I ask, because in the event of delays/cancellations etc, which is the better option? Booking via BA or booking direct via Iberia?
Sorry if this is a silly question – just never been faced with this choice before (strangely!)
TIA
Well if it’s a last minute delay / cancellation you’ll be dealing with IB as the operating carrier no matter which you booked with.
Right you are – thanks for clarifying!
If there’s no price difference I would personally book via BA as 1) I’ve found it much easier to reserve seats free as Silver 2) You can cancel via MMB, whereas with IB you seem to have to submit an online claim form which requires a massive amount of detail!
That’s good advice too – thanks @Northernlass
