BA and Qatar Airways are linked accounts. However, in my Qatar Airways Dashboard the Privilege Club points is zero while the BA Exec Club displays my current full balance. Although linked, is it preferable when it comes to (seat) upgrades, that I move my points over to Qatar Privilege Club? Do not to find I need to do this on my phone when at the upgrade desk.
Presuming you are flying on Qatar, then there is no harm in moving them across (you can always move them back). I’ve had issues (and some success) redeeming when the Avios are still in my BA account.
Thanks. If there is no detriment (avios loss or transferring back) either way then it’s probably less hassle at the airport upgrade desk if I have the points on their own Privilege Club card.
Yes, no detriment. You can swap back and forth as many times as you want with no penalty.
Also you can change flight for a measly 25 USD rather than £35 pp

Indeed. Don’t be distracted by claims on this forum that it is easier to amend and/or cancel your Qatar flight if booked via BAEC.
