Silver seat booking privileges expiry

Hi, just wondering whether someone can advise me regarding the silver seat booking privileges. If your silver status expires on 30 April 2023, are you still able to reserve seats for booking made up until 30 April 2023, even if flights were say departing and returning march 2024? Or can you only reserve seats on flights actually departing up to your silver expiry date. Thanks in advance, and sorry if it’s covered elsewhere.

You can book seats for any flights you have booked right up to the day of expiry I.e. March 2024 as per above.

The problem is BA quite often randomly kick you out of your seats and also change equipment although in my experience this is more common on long haul than short haul. So you can book a seat for March 2024 in April 2023 but if BA kick you out of your preferred seat in April 2023 onwards then it is tough luck.
