Six Senses Douro Valley – IHG One Rewards doesn’t apply

On the web site for this property it says: “IHG® One Rewards is not applicable at this Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas hotel at this time”.

Is this unique to Douro Valley or does it also apply to other Six Senses properties? And is this likely to be a permanent situation?

There’s a whole thread on this property somewhere detailing the various benefits people got. I think you get other, equally good, stuff at SS’s which varies by property.

Any spend at the property does not earn points. You still get benefits, but this might have changed too. When people booked before during the famous promo, this wasn’t displayed so we complained and got various degrees of compensation in points.

As a spire I got far better benefits at this property than I’ve ever had at a mainline IHG hotel. It’s true you don’t earn points on spend though.
