Split (not Split) high season

Hi
Travelling with 11 of extended family to Split region in August 2022. Having been to Pula at a similar time I am expecting Split to be too busy to be enjoyable.
Does anyone know of lesser known resorts on the mainland within an hour or so that would offer the same charm with less crowds?
We are hoping to get a sea side villa

Hi, I can confidently say that there is no place on the Croatian coast that will be less crowded in August… August is a peak season and Croatia is easily reachable for German, Italian, Austrian tourists etc. In general, capacities are full in July and August. If you’d like less crowds and a villa, that won’t be seaside for certain.
