I booked a R/T fare but somehow made a mess of the return leg date and didn’t catch it for a long time. It’s non-refundable, etc, of course. It looks cheaper to fly the out leg and then buy a one way for the return. Do any of you know SQ’s policy for no-shows? Google AI says they might get shirty on a future booking. It’s quite beyond me why it should bother them at all. They’re being paid handsomely (it’s a J fare!) to fly an empty seat!
Can you not cancel it nearer the date? Even if you don’t get anything back it stops it from being a no show.
People don’t show for flights all the time for a variety of reasons, it’s not an issue.
It’s only where you’re deliberately missing from the second leg of for example HKG-LHR-CPH to save money on a fare would it ever red flag. Or if you’re a repeat offender over a long period of buying a return and not flying it to save money. A one off is not going to be an issue.
