Stay Ahead with Bluechain’s New Business Cards! Er, you wot?

Bluechain seem to be desperately thrashing round for a business model without Amex, but their latest Email was particularly strange.

Their proposed credit cards (virtual only) seem to be either:

0.5% cashback on 30 day repayment terms.

or

0% cashback on 60 day repayment terms.

WITH NO OTHER BENEFITS. BOTH WITH A £30/MONTH FEE.

Either they haven’t communicated things correctly or somebody at the company has been sniffing glue. Who do they think is paying £360/yr for a worse product than what’s on the market currently for free?

The hook presented seems to be that you can use it at suppliers that don’t take cards … but that’s what Bluechain does already for the non-rubbish credit card you already have? Unless they’re proposing to stop you using your own non-Bluechain credit card? Which seems a good way to destroy an already damaged business???

It’s bizarre isn’t it. It seems they are desperate, as they email every week with an Amex update, which is always “we are working on it but can’t promise it will return!”
