I signed up for a platinum card earlier this year and added my wife as a supplementary card holder, which we received bonus points for.
Once we hit the spending threshold (£10k in 6 months) for the bonus points, we closed the account.
As the sign up offer was still live, we then opened an account in my wife’s name, in which she is now eligible for the same offer. However, when we took out the account, we added myself as a supplementary card holder, but we have not received the bonus points for the supplementary card.
Is she eligible for the supplementary card bonus as I have have been a main account holder in the past year? Has it just not been triggered as we added the supplementary card at sign up, and is a mistake by Amex?
