How do you pay for your council tax on Amex when the LA does not take Amex?

I always hated to pay my c.tax in one go. I called the council, they did their magic, now I am paying it in installments using amex via paypoint each month.

’they did their magic’. When referring to councils it’s rare to read that as anything other than ‘they screwed up’…
I know. Because
– I didn’t know it was allowed,
– I didn’t think they can actually do it,
– I didn’t hope it’d work.But, it did.
Now I can forget the hundreds I recently wasted for my car because of all the potholes!?!
The majority of people in the UK pay council tax in 10 instalments (rather than 12, but even the most incompetent council should be able to change it to 12 on request)
Indeed, the bill is spilt into 10 monthly payments for illustration. It’s very unusual to pay it in one go, unless you’re a HFP reader trying to trigger a SUB or 241 (normally the latter for me!)
