Is it possible to transfer Avios in this direction? I’m pretty sure I’ve done it in the past, but a friend in the US has been told it’s not possible (only the other way).
Yes did it just the other day. Use Avios.com to do it.

He tried that and got a failure on the web page. Avios.com people told him this was because there was no DOB in the BAEC account. BA have confirmed it’s there, but two of their agents are adamant that the transfer can only be done the other way.
I suppose it’s a case of HUACA until someone that knows what they’re doing answers the phone at BA.
