Hello, I have just completed a MAN – DUB – ORD trip with Aer Lingus in business class and my Aer Club account has been credited 6519 Avios and 280 Tier Credits both of which I want to transfer over to my BA Executive club account. Online, a few sources say that the way to do this is via avios.com, but when I access this site, there is seemingly no way to login as the only option seems to be to ‘join’? Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere on HfP but is anyone able to offer advice please? thank you.
Firstly it’s always best to put your BAEC number in to the booking as soon as you’ve booked. Doing it later causes all sorts of problems
You can transfer avios from EI to BA bit not TPs
To do that you need to ask EI to reverse the transaction and if / when they do that do a retro claim with BA.
It’s worth noting that if this was a heavily discounted cash ticket then it won’t anything in BA Executive Club, so you may have got the best possible result already.
If you go to ‘Combine My Avios’ on ba.com you will be able to move the Avios across from Lingus. You need the ‘Avios Partners’ option, as Lingus is unhelpfully called.
Thank you. I already included my BAEC number in the booking but it seems to have credited to AerClub. Does this mean that these Tier points can’t contribute to me retaining BA Bronze?

Read what I wrote above!
In a typical experience using anything to do with BA IT systems, when I try this, I get a consistent message saying ‘Combine my Avios is not available at the moment. Please try again later’ – I guess all I can do is keep trying. Thanks for your help on this.
Are your email addresses the same for BAEC and Avios.com? If not, it will not work and you will need to change them so that they are both the same.
They weren’t, but I changed them about an hour ago to ensure that they do match and still no joy!
Doing that will NOT transfer the TPs only the avios.
If you want the TPs in your BA account you need so do what I wrote in my first post.
