Hi all. Does anyone know when the Tribe hotel is opening in Manchester Airport? Website says Summer 2024 (actually says “Sumer”, which is both embarrassing for them and offensive to my eyes; the whole page is littered with bad grammar and typos, I’m guessing it was written quickly by the intern!)
My wife and I are hoping to stay there before our flight in mid-September, also hoping to get an early bird offer!
Thanks
Drove past it last Sunday and it is a long way short of opening.
That said, things tend to speed up quickly towards the end (Park Hyatt London had no functioning lifts or furnished rooms in May when I was there and will open 1st October) so mid September may still happen. That said, in the back of my mind I think someone said December to me recently but I can’t for the life of me remember who.
Maybe it’s actually opening in ancient Mesopotamia and not Manchester?!

Now I am picturing the hotel to look like the Central Park building in the first Ghostbusters – possibly with a ancient Sumerian creature perched on top. Kimpton style secret password ‘Zuul’ …
The website now says a November opening. With that in mind, I’m considering booking for an upcoming flight from T2. The holiday inn and tribe are both coming in at the £100 mark.
I can’t tell the exact location of the tribe hotel, and so was wondering how continent it is from T2 vs the holiday inn. The tribe hotel looks a bit more interesting, so keen to try that if it’s still a good option for T2.
We have meet and greet parking booked at T2 from the evening before we fly. So the plan is drop bags at the hotel, drop off the car at T2 meet & greet, walk to the hotel and then walk back to the terminal on the morning of our departure.
Any advice on which hotel would be more convenient? Many thanks 🤩
It is across the road from the railway station – will be the nearest hotel to the station once open, albeit still 2-3 mins walk.
My guess is that you will need to walk back to the station and take the SkyWalk to the terminal.

This is the key. Pick your hotel based on the walk to the nearest dry route to the terminal.
