    I have a revenue booking on BA coming up. The calculator shows as 0 tps and avios earned. This is incorrect – they are earning classes.
    I see it says ‘add membership number’ and when I click this is shows my number, and when I click add, it shows added successfully. I can also use my benefits like seat selection

    The only possible thing I can think of is the booking has my middle name in (and it doesn’t look like my exec club has). This hasn’t been a problem before. But this time there is a space between my first and second names in the ticket. (Previously I have seen SMITH/JOHNDOE, this is SMITH/JOHN DOE). Could this be it? Should I be worried?

    Your username is apt. Just wait until you’ve actually taken the flight and either there’ll be nothing to worry about, or you file a missing points claim (on the BA website initially and if this fails, then Flyertalk).

    Middle names are irrelevant. There is nothing you can do now anyway – suppose that this middle name is the issue – what exactly would you do about it? Pay to cancel it and book again at the current price? BA isn’t going to change your name and anyway they would just say your name is correct.

    @John, haha right about the name!

    I could ask Exec Club to add my middle name to my exec account (I am sure they would with passport etc). But might not if it is a know BA IT gremlin. I am concerned as I fly in Dec, and I need the points before 31st Dec in order to get the reduced threshold for renewal, which I wouldn’t otherwise get.

    It’s very rare that BA doesn’t post the correct points for a cash flight.

    Do note that they’ve got a bit slow though. The old 24 hours has been replaced by 3-4 days in recent experience.

    Rob said it’s very rare that the correct points aren’t posted, however we had a flight at the end of May which neither Avios nor Tier points were posted. The points for our return flight were posted but nothing for the outgoing flight. I had to chase them up I tried using the “claim your Avios” which didn’t work, chat which didn’t work, then twitter, eventually I emailed using email addresses I had saved from reading different post on HFP. We finally received both Avios and Tier points last week.
