Hi,
Looking at flights to Singapore around April time 2023. I know tickets are issued 355 days in advance, so I have been tracking the dates every night but it seems like they release only 1 or no business tickets at all each day? Is there an easier way to redeem companion vouchers on a destination that you want? Looking at RFF and SeatSpy there are no business class seats available the whole year to singapore, or there is just the odd 1 seat every couple of months.
Are they just getting snapped up to quickly or are they not releasing seats for this destination?
Thanks!
W
Getting snapped up super quickly. Probably someone on the phone just before 1am, with the call centre staff nabbing them on behalf of the caller.
Are you just relying on RFF and SS as they can have a lag in updating their systems – also I find that often when they show 1 seat something’s gone wrong and this isn’t reflected on ba.com.
You need to either follow the advice on here about calling just before the seats drop, or put your search into the website and keep hitting the refresh button until your flight (hopefully) appear. They’re not always released on the dot of 1 am so you might need to persevere for a bit.
I’ve been trying to get 3 pax Singapore flights for next year for a few months, I don’t have the time/points to do the whole phone at 1am and stitch the bookings together, I am yet to see any possible return trips, hong kong seems the only place you can easily go on points in Asia
They’re very popular routes – unfortunately often the only way to bag seats is to follow the strategies detailed on HFP!
One of the flights continues to Sydney so is extremely popular and now that KUL / BKK are gone SIN is really the only viable hoping off point for a South East Asia holiday, so it’ll be very very competative to get hold of. The phone gives you an advantage that the agent can hold the seats whilst they sort out the details, online they’re not held until you complete. So realistically you’ll need to call in to be successful
Thanks for everyone’s input! Looks like a couple of late nights the next few weeks would be the best way to get these tickets.
Is this the best number to get through:

Thanks

I think you have to contact an overseas call centre to do this as the UK ones are closed at this time – hopefully someone will be along with details.
Australia?

Opens at midnight our time so you could get through a few mins before. It’s only open weekdays though. Otherwise USA is just closing then 1 877 455 2488 but I’ve seen reports that they refuse to do it for various reasons.
