Hi
I’ve started to try to get first class reward flights on as many different airlines/plane types as possible.
On my first flights I didn’t expect to be doing this and didn’t note what plane type it was.
Please could someone with access to historic flightradar data let me know what plane I would have been on for the BA49 LHR-SEA on 15th August 2023 and the BA286 SFO-LHR on 27th August 2023 (arriving to the computer shutdown in LHR!). I’d have added a picture if I could work out how to do it. The seat on the LHR-SEA had 2 windows, no door and the little lamp on the side shelf
Thanks
Flighty seems to think that BA49 LHR-SEA on 15th August 2023 was a Boeing 787-10 (G-ZBLF), and BA286 SFO-LHR on 27th August 2023 was an Airbus A380 (G-XLED). I’m not sure if Flighty and Flightradar24 have different sources for this.
I can’t help with specifics, but with BA there are five options:
A380, should have been fairly obvious (although as First is on the lower deck I guess it could pass some by).
777-300, new First suite with doors
777-200, no doors, manual window blind (I think).
787-10, no doors, automatic window dimmers, Club Suite further back (if you noticed when you walked through).
787-9, ditto but with old Club World yin-yang seats.
Thanks for the quick replies. Looks like the 787-10 on the outbound. No door and electronic blinds and definitely no yin-yang seats in business.
Unfortunately return wasn’t the A380 and memory of seat is similar to outbound. For sure no fold out screen which reviews of the A380 seem to show. I’d just come off a red-eye from HNL and mooched around San Francisco for the day so attention to detail was not so good.
Good point re the screen. The 380 & 772 have the small 15.4″ folding screen, the others have the much larger 23″ static screen.
I like the idea though, got me thinking. I’ve travelled First in three of them, and had FLUBs in the other two. Does that count?
