United Airlines wifi

Hi,

Used Amex offer to book LHR-LAX and wanted to work from the plane. I usually do it without much issue on Virgin/BA but I’m shockingly finding very little details on the WIFI situation except year old comment that it is lacklustre. Does anybody have any experience using it (would think it would be similar to streaming as I usually connect to virtual machine) ?
P.S: anybody recommend booking the United club pass as well ?

I flew United last week in Premium Plus. The WiFi was usable for basic tasks. Sending emails was fine but I couldn’t download an attachment of c.20mb. Browsing seemed to be quicker on my phone than my Mac.
