Related, has anyone stayed at Fellows House and would recommend it? We very rarely stay in Cambridge as we are only 30 mins away but it’s walking distance to Midsummer House and I’m thinking of staying overnight for a change.

We stayed in 2021 and had a great stay. Parking was expensive if I remember correctly and room was not upgraded as it close to full capacity. But everything else was great. Nice little cafe in the front and lots of space in the bar for socialising. Rooms were big and modern.

    Thanks @CamFlyer and @masaccio

Re Fellows House, we stayed there at between Christmas and New Year and really liked it. We had the kids with us and it’s ideal for a family set up with suite style rooms which connect to one another to offer plenty of space.

F&B is good, although we didn’t try the restaurant other than for breakfast. The hotel was busy so breakfast was a bit of a scrum but staff were good and efficient at clearing tables quickly.

The pool area is nice but the pool itself is very narrow, with a ledge along one side further reducing the useable space. Fine if it’s quiet but not great if there are more than a few people wanting to swim.

IIRC parking on site was £25 per 24 hours. Car park is fine, well lit and secure but not many spaces and they are a little on the tight side if you have a large car.

Thanks both. Will book Fellows House as it’s half the price of University Arms or Gonville. Haven’t decided on parking yet: OH has a blue badge though Cambridge is rubbish for that so we might even resort to the P&R or misguided bus.
