Just had an email from BA stating up the 40% off reward flights form LCY.

From the email:

Bring on today’s Black Friday offer, exclusively for you as a much-valued Executive Club Member. Save up to 40% off Reward Flights from London City Airport. So you’ll spend less Avios to get away sooner.

Book by midnight 27 November. Not your bag? New offers arrive tomorrow..

As stated above, it’s a targeted offer. Anyone get anything similar or better?

Unless I’m missing something it does not apply to all destinations and dates from LCY within the stipulated date range.

Yes it’s for all BA destinations. 25% off for CE although a bit pointless from LCY.

Thanks both, I was looking for FAO in Y on ERJ195 around Easter with London stopover. Probably no surprise I couldn’t find it. We will see if tomorrow brings anything to make CE from other airports worthwhile.

Is there an easy way to sort BA destinations from LCY at any given season (and by extension LGW, if needed)?

I also got the same offer which is odd considering I’m Manchester based and all my travel is ex MAN. So clearly a LCY offer.

More interesting routes are seasonal from LCY so this offer is a bit meh.

Seems to stack with the Barclays vouchers, which might make a good redemption considering the enforced £1 option? Although better offers might be in store.

To find out where you can fly too from LCY – Go to the holiday finder, select LCY in the ‘From’ box, and then open the Europe options.

LCY works really well for me personally, so I do see it as a reasonable offer. However, I’m trying to increase my cash flights to earn a few more TPs so it now gives me a bit more to think about.

Thanks to my SeatSpy First Class trial, today I have managed to book 2 x CE returns LCY-ZRH on my preferred dates between Christmas and New Year for a last minute ski trip for 29,248 avios + £100, using the 25% avios saving from the Black Friday deal. The additional CE baggage allowance is a huge bonus as we’re taking our own skis. Given the cash price of flights from any European ski airport back to London on New Year’s Day, I can’t believe my luck! Just as well as Swiss ski accommodation isn’t known for being cheap…

anyone have problems doing an Avios search on the desktop version of the website?
keep getting a “temporary error” and “sorry something went wrong” message.
