I’m guessing it’s case by case, but in theory would the child
be charged for b/fast if my diamond level covers OH and I?!

Yes unless the hotel offers kids eat free

I was wondering about that, John. This is a HI Orlando, and it DOES say Kids
Eat Free….but does that presume an adult is paying? (can’t see it specified)

Yes that is what the terms say unfortunately, although I’ve not had any issues in the UK so far.

Kids Eat Free – For registered guests only. This is available for children:
when accompanied by at least one (1) adult who is registered as a hotel guest at the Participating Hotel and must order at least one main course from the full priced menu.

Email them and ask. It could be free or it could be full price, which is ridiculous when kids often only have a slice of toast or bowl of cereal.
As it’s a HI, it shouldn’t be that expensive though (the rate is probably mentioned on the website).
Even if it’s free, though, and a buffet, a tip will be expected 😂

    Just crazy, @Anna!
On your recent FL sojourn, have you had any Hilton b/fast “vouchers”? Any idea
of the going rate if we have 1 plat + 1 supp.? Still hovering between hotel choice for Orlando!

    FWIW:
Hilton Buena Vista Palace: confirmed a total of $30 vouchers/night (buffet for 2 adults 1 kid = $65 + tax!). Oh, and resort fee is now $39/night + tax (no food vouchers)!

Holiday Inn Disney Springs: Diamond amenity valid for 2 adult buffet breakfasts PLUS kid eats free. Similar resort fee at least includes a few beers, coffee & cookies and half-price golf!

For Hilton consider points as you don’t get charged a resort fee on award bookings. Also Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites where breakfast is included.

We did 5 nights at the Hampton Inn Marathon over Xmas, it was pretty nice, like a mini resort. Paid 560k points in total for 2 rooms, cash rate was nudging $500 pn, so would have been nearly $5k for a paid stay. Free breakfast, free parking, no resort fee, very happy!
