I understand from HFP article on this subject that if I have 2 companion vouchers in my own name they cannot be used for 3 people or 2 or 4.
Yesterday I called BA to confirm and they informed me that x2 vouchers could be used for family of 3(the usual 2-4-1 and 50% the third ticket)
I don’t think BA gave me the correct advice but has annyone ever booked for family of 3 using x2 companion vouchers in the same persons name?
I think BA was wrong – the problem is that you would need 2 separate bookings, 1 for the voucher as a 241 and another one for 50% fewer avios. Each booking would require the voucher holder to be one of the passengers.
You can use 2 vouchers to make one booking for 4 people, but that’s when you’re using them both as 241s. You can also have more than 2 people on a booking using 1 voucher, you just have to pay the full avios and cash price for each extra person.
