I have had a VA Reward Plus Card for many years and usually spend the required amount (£10k) to qualify for a reward voucher. I received an email notifying me Jan 23 that I had qualified for voucher but it still has not been posted to my Flying Club account. I have called both Virgin Money Credit Card and Flying Club numerous times and each points the finger at the other as to who is responsible. Has anyone else experienced the same issue and was able to get it resolved?
Yep, me too. I kept calling. I never saw it in my account. Last time they said I already qualified. I called again they confirmed. I guess I have it now. But the process is completely opaque.
Vouchers don’t show up in your account, like they do with BA. You have to call to find the expiration dates and to use them. Give FC your FC number and they’ll whittle them off on the phone to you.
Not totally opaque – there is a zero miles entry on your Flying Club statement saying ‘Virgin Credit Card voucher’ or similar. This doesn’t seem to show in the Virgin Red app oddly.
In previous years when I qualified for my voucher – it did appear, as Rob mentions, as a zero miles entry on my Flying Club statement saying ‘Virgin Credit Card voucher’ or similar. But this year it is not showing up – and when I call FC there is no record of a voucher for 2023. I guess I will just need to keep calling Virgin Money Credit Card and the Flying Club until it gets sorted!
Didn’t show up on my account as a zero entry last summer either. You have to call Virgin Atlantic to find out.
The guy that answered was most helpful despite sounding as if he was in a tin hut somewhere in darkest africa.
Mine shows up under my activity…

Really should get round to finding a use for it though.
We’ve travelled with Virgin alot over the past few years and I never knew that I had the Credit card reward vouchers as they were not showing on my flying club account and I never received an email from Virgin credit card to say I had received anything. The only way I found out was when I got an email earlier this year telling me I had qualified for one. I called flying club to be told I actually had 4 all of which were close to expiry due to me not knowing I had them. I have taken this up with Virgin credit card and they are not accepting responsibility even though they have never emailed me regarding 3 of the vouchers. I clearly would have used them had I have known they were there but when I’ve called the flying club to book flights they have never mentioned them.
Anyone else had this problem?
Any ideas on how to resolve it?
Did you take out the card not knowing that a voucher was given for a certain level of spend each year? This is a bit surprising as it’s well advertised and one of the main reasons people apply for it.
Virgin don’t even have a spend tracker so it’s up to the customer to keep track of it, plus they do make the voucher difficult to find in your account once you’ve actually earned it! However, I can’t see that they’re under any obligation to make things clearer than they do, it’s stated during the application process and in the Ts and Cs how it works.

On the front page it says choose from an upgrade or companion voucher. They do show in your flying club account, but only as a one-liner in your monthly statement.

Not always. There have been lots of people on here including myself where the voucher hasn’t appeared in the virgin account. Didn’t get the the email either for the last one.
I didn’t have an email for either of mine but I knew when the £10k had been spent and that the voucher should be arriving imminently. But the point is that it’s hard to miss that it’s a benefit of holding the card when you apply for it!
