I was wondering what are people’s experience with how long it takes Virgin Money to approve people for the Reward+ card? I used the eligibility checker and passed that and got given a projected credit limit. So went ahead and applied as thought it be fairly straightforward and it be an instant decision, but got a message they’d be in touch. Is that normal? I’m financially stable, have had most cards featured on HfP at some point and never been turned down for a card, but can’t help feeling a bit ominous with this “we’ll get back to you”. I know from reading the forums people have had varying results with the eligibility checker itself as I know Rob has said it can give very different results to an actual application in different ways.
After the same pre-approval etc it took 3 days to receive confirmation e mail and a further 4 days for the card to arrive along with written confirmation
But I suspect that as with most things Virgin YMMVSo got approved this morning – didn’t get an approval email, just an email about my confirmed credit limit. Anxiety over! I think it’s good to discuss and share experiences though so people can understand how the process works in practice and feel more certain so others feel free to share your experiences.
